PROHIBITED ITEMS 

No drugs or alcoholic beverages are permitted at this event. You cannot bring any type of weapon or fireworks. Pets nor tents are allowed at this event as well.

WHAT CAN I BRING?

Chairs, blankets and umbrellas are allowed. You may also bring coolers. Please understand that they will be searched for alcoholic beverages before entry. Bring your friends, sunscreen and good vibes.

SHUTTLE SERVICE

This information will become available as we get closer to the festival. It's too soon to determine these arrangements. Because we are a nonprofit organization, we sometimes have to wait before making arrangements. Thank you in advance for your patience. 

 

LODGING

There are several area Inns and hotels. We do NOT recommend waiting until the last minute to make reservations. We recognize that many of our patrons are not from the area so we may provide you with a list of area lodging possibilities upon request. For Airbnb information, you can search Vrbo.com or Airbnb.com.

RE-ENTRY  / ATM

You are allowed to re - enter the park if you exit. If you are banded, the band is good for the entire day. There are ATM machines within walking distance in case you need to get money for the Vendor Market.

TICKET AVAILABILITY ON SITE

You will be able to purchase tickets on site. Tickets for Gullah Tours and the Decoration Day play will also be available at the front gate.

ENTRY & SECURITY

There will be Security for the duration of the festival.

WEATHER

The Original Gullah Festival of South Carolina, Inc. is an outdoor festival and will go on Rain or Shine.   There will be no refunds given due to inclement weather.

BUS TRIPS

Travel Agents and Charter Buses coming to the festival must pre-register for travel permits. This travel permit is necessary in order to travel within the city limits. Contact Lynda Dyer (843) 525-8531 or The Visitor Center (843) 525-8500. Click on the button for the actual Bus Restration Form.

The Original Gullah Festival of South Carolina, Inc. reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at the 3 day event without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. The Original Gullah Festival of South Carolina, Inc. may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by The Original Gullah Festival of South Carolina, Inc.; including, but not limited to: brochures, books, invitations, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc.

To ensure the privacy of individuals and children, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject, parent or legal guardian.
A person attending The Original Gullah Festival of South Carolina, Inc. who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wish known to the photographer and/or the event organizers and/or contact The Original Gullah Festival of South Carolina, Inc. at P.O. Box 83, Beaufort, SC 29901 in writing of his/her intentions and include a photograph. The Original Gullah Festival of South Carolina, Inc. will use the photo for identification purposes and will hold it in confidence.

By participating in The Original Gullah Festival of South Carolina Inc. or by failing to notify The Original Gullah Festival of South Carolina, Inc.  in writing of your desire to not have your photograph used by The Original Gullah Festival of South Carolina, Inc., you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify The Gullah Festival from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.

Any person or organization not affiliated with The Original Gullah Festival of South Carolina, Inc. may not use, copy, alter or modify Gullah Festival photographs, graphics, videography or other similar reproductions or recordings without the advanced written permission of an authorized designee of The Original Gullah Festival of South Carolina, Inc.
