Due to the spread of the Coronavirus, we had to cancel the 2020 Gullah Festival and the scheduled Art Contest. However, thanks to Ms. Brenda Singleton, Art teacher at Whale Branch Elementary School in Beaufort, SC, we have some art to present to you.
The video is of student work inspired by the art of Gullah artist Jonathan Green and the press release is for a project completed in connection with the Sheldon Township's Everybody Counts initiative. Shout out to Ms. Singleton and all Teachers who tap into the creativity of young minds. We appreciate you!
